Founded in 2008, the Green Infrastructure Network (GIN) is an evolving and growing collaborative of over 80 voluntary organizations, universities, businesses, and government partners who recognize the benefits of using green infrastructure in managing Allegheny County’s stormwater problem. The GIN encourages municipalities, sanitary authorities, and developers to prioritize the use of green infrastructure where feasible and cost-effective.
In particular, the GIN has focused its efforts on five areas of GI implementation. These include:
